Beautiful Healthy Me and Hawk & Heath want to welcome you to their collaborative retreat day "Reflect". It is designed to nourish your mind, rejuvenate your body, and reconnect your soul. In today's fast-paced world, we often forget to pause, breathe, and truly reflect on our lives. This retreat is a sacred space where you can do just that, surrounded by the beauty of nature in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.
What's the schedule:
Morning Session:
1. Take time to arrive and find your comfy corner (9:30 AM - 10:00 AM).
2. Morning Session (10:00 AM - 12:00 NOON):
We will begin the day with a grounding and intention-setting ceremony. In the first part of the morning we will reflect on the year that just past. We will observe our emotions, mind and body and gather all the learnings we have gained throughtout the year. Then we will keep reflecting, observing and being here and now with ourselves through Yin-Yang yoga style movements. This will take us to a moment of gratitude, apprecation and balance. We will look at our Wheel of Life and reflect where we are at this very moment of time and space and this will give us a direction and clarity what we want to focus on during 2024. We will finish designing our action plan for 2024 - step by step. You will be immersed in an active morning with interactive activities that will help balance the chaos within and will help gain clarity and focus for the coming year!
Lunch (12:00 PM - 12:30 PM) Lunch time is approximate and if need be it may start a bit later:
- Enjoy a healthy, nourishing lunch, either in silence or with fellow participants, fostering mindful eating.
- Please bring your own lunch and feel welcome to bring food that you love to share with others. Sharing is caring. Something simple like fruits or nuts or crisp or why not a cake or a biscuit.
Afternoon Session:
3. Forest Bathing (12:30 PM - 3:00 PM) Time is approximate. If you feel you need to stay longer in the forest you can do so until 4pm or beyond:
The session will start with about 30 min explanation of how to bathe in the forest. And then we will make our way to the forest heart in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
Forest Bathing, also known as Shinrin-Yoku, is a type of eco-therapy that originated in Japan. The practice involves immersing oneself in nature while mindfully engaging with the five senses. It has been shown to reduce stress, improve mood, and enhance overall health and wellbeing. Immerse yourself in the healing energy of nature. Connect with the forest through mindful walking, deepening your connection with the natural world, while gaining valuable life skills!
Hawk & Heath take their strategies straight from Japan to deliver a systematic intervention to those who visit them, as well as teaching people the skills they need to keep up the practice themselves.
This retreat takes place in a serene natural setting, providing the perfect backdrop for your journey of self-discovery and reflection. Leave the retreat with a renewed sense of purpose, a deeper connection to yourself, action plan for 2024 and practical tools to bring mindfulness into your daily life.
What to Bring:
- Comfortable clothing suitable for yoga and outdoor activities.
- Yoga mat, cushion, or blanket for your practice. I have 6 yoga mats, so if you want to borrow one of mine just drop me an email or a message on any of the socials.
- Lunch for you and if you are a sharer for others.
- Water bottle to stay hydrated.
- Journal and pen for reflection.
- An open heart and a willingness to embrace self-discovery.
